3. Bradford City v Blackburn Rovers

A battle between two WPL Northern Division teams, mid-table Bradford will face top of the league Blackburn in what will be the first game in this year’s FA Cup for both teams – all WPL North and South teams being granted exemptions to the first round proper.

Both teams enter the competition one round earlier than they did last season, when Bradford were knocked out in the third round by WSL side Yeovil Town, and Blackburn went one better by reaching the fourth round, where they lost to eventual WPL champions Brighton & Hove Albion

Blackburn will go into the tie as favourites, thanks to the two victories they have already enjoyed over Bradford in the league this season: 4-0 away in September  and 4-2 at home in October.

My prediction: I think this will go with the form book and Blackburn will beat Bradford for the third time this season. Rovers are unbeaten this season and are sitting in first place in the league, so Bradford will have to pull out all the stops if they want to progress to the next round.
